Stòrí of Africa
Stòrí of Africa by Adama
Heritage, Healing, and Self-Care
Stòrí of Africa was born in the memories of Njala, a small town in Sierra Leone, where community, tradition, and care shaped everyday life. Founded by Adama, who comes from a lineage of healers, educators, and entrepreneurs, the brand is rooted in the rituals and wisdom passed down through generations.
After her family moved to Australia seeking education, safety, and freedom, Adama grew up navigating two worlds, her rich African heritag, and the vibrant multicultural communities of Western Sydney. Through it all, the pull of her roots remained strong: the daily ritual of moisturising after a bath, the weekly hair braiding sessions filled with laughter and storytelling, the beauty practices that were acts of love, culture, and identity.
As an adult working in social services, Adama longed for a deeper connection to her heritage. The pandemic became a turning point, reminding her of the wisdom in the self-care rituals she grew up with, natural ingredients, communal traditions, and the joy of caring for oneself and others. Frustrated by the lack of products for melanin-rich skin, she created Stòrí of Africa to celebrate the beauty rituals and traditions of her past while embracing the present.
Every jar of shea rich skincare is a tribute to healing, connection, and pride. Stòrí of Africa is more than skincare, it's a celebration of heritage, the power of storytelling, and the transformative act of self-care.
This is Adama's stòrí. Now, it can be part of yours.
